Case Study · Iron Mountain × McLaren Racing

Taking the Fleet to the Streets of Miami — in 3D

Iron Mountain wanted its McLaren Racing campaign seen across Miami for the Formula 1 weekend. We built the trucks in 3D and rendered them photorealistically — Ocean Drive, the causeways, downtown — without a single physical photo shoot.

The Challenge: A Campaign That Didn't Exist Yet

As an Official Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team, Iron Mountain wanted its campaign trucks seen all over Miami for the Grand Prix — vibrant, alive, unmissable. The problem: there was nothing to photograph.

No Truck to Photograph

The McLaren-liveried trucks didn't physically exist yet — a traditional photo shoot simply wasn't possible.

Miami, at Its Best

The brief called for Ocean Drive neon, causeway sunsets and downtown lights — many locations, perfect light, one deadline.

A Mixed Fleet

Isuzu, Freightliner and International box trucks — each a different shape, all needing one consistent brand treatment.

Our Approach: Build It in 3D

Instead of chasing trucks, locations and daylight, we built the entire scene in 3D — accurate vehicles, real wrap artwork, and Miami itself — then rendered it photorealistically.

A Four-Step Pipeline

Spec-Accurate Models

Each truck modeled to real measurements — side panels and rear doors to the inch, per make.

Apply the Livery

Both the standard Iron Mountain fleet wrap and the new McLaren F1 campaign design, mapped true to template.

Drop Into Miami

Ocean Drive, the causeways, Brickell and downtown — staged across day, dusk and neon-lit night.

Render Photoreal

Realistic light, reflections and motion — campaign-ready imagery indistinguishable from a photo.

No Photo Shoot Needed

No trucks to wrap, no crews, no travel — the whole campaign shot inside the computer.

Any Location, Any Light

Golden-hour causeway or neon midnight on Ocean Drive — light and place chosen, not chased.

Reusable 3D Fleet

Once built, every truck can be re-rendered for any future wrap, message or campaign.

From Flat Template to the Streets of Miami

We start with the same production template a wrap printer uses — and end with a truck driving through a living city.

The Work, Live

From Render to Reality

Iron Mountain debuted its McLaren-branded fleet at the 2026 Miami Grand Prix — and the renders led the launch across the company's own website and social channels.

Beyond the Campaign: The Full Fleet in 3D

The same pipeline renders Iron Mountain's everyday fleet — every truck make, in current branding, ready for previews and approvals before any wrap goes to print.

Built on Real Numbers

Every 3D model is built from Iron Mountain's verified fleet specifications — accurate down to the inch, so the render matches the truck that rolls off the line.
